Messy Church

Messy Church is a way of being church which is particularly suited to families but welcoming to all. Messy Church is fun for children and their grown-ups! We use arts, crafts and teaching to learn about Jesus in a fun and accessible way for all ages.

Typically Messy Church might involve:

  • An informal game at the beginning to give children and grown-ups a chance to interact
  • An interactive teaching session where we think about a message from the Bible
  • A time for attendees to try-out lots of arts and craft activities (rotating between several tables)
  • A snack time to finish the session (e.g. Jam sandwiches and fruit)

Messy Church is free to attend and refreshments are provided. Messy Church usually takes place on a late Saturday morning at the Church Hall. Messy Church takes place a few times each year (usually during school half-term break); our next messy church will be listed on our calendar, you can be sure of a warm welcome.
