In 2018 we had to upgrade the heating system, remove asbestos which was discovered in the process, and re-render the tower.
All the costs of the above have to be covered by the parish – there is no “magic money tree”! Consequently, our savings and reserves are currently considerably depleted. The next pressing repairs that need to be carried out are to treat and replace timbers and ceilings within the tower which have been found to have woodworm and death watch beetle.
Any donations would be very gratefully received and can be made in a variety of ways, either through the church website: www.allsaintsearlsbarton.org.uk
Or through the Friends of All Saints – a separate charity created to solely raise funds for the maintenance and repair of the church.
Or by placing cash in the collection boxes in the church itself.
We can also claim gift aid on donations if you are a tax payer and provide your name and address.
