Church Closure

The Church will be closed from 7th January 2021

After consultations with our Churchwardens Helen and David, the PCC of All Saints as well as a Chapter meeting with local clergy in our Diocese, I am now able to confirm that All Saints Church will be closed whilst we are in lockdown three.

We are grateful to the government that they have recognised the importance of faith, worship and taking care of spiritual needs, however we believe that caring primarily for our church family’s physical needs is critical at the moment.
Therefore, in-church Sunday services and private prayer on a Wednesday morning will be postponed until further notice. Funerals will of course continue. Our online zoom service will continue and other changes to our online worship will be announced as they are updated. We will also be increasing our focus towards pastoral care in the coming weeks and using the telephone and post to stay in touch and resource the spiritual needs of our church family across Earls Barton.
My constant hope and prayer is that when we are able to be together again, we will ALL be able to be together again, and that making sacrifices now will be both a protection and guarantee of our togetherness post lockdown.
I am reminded of these words: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2Timothy 1:7),
So may God bless us and give us wisdom as we best serve Him, one another and our community.
With every blessing,
 Revd Jenny x
